Just before 4pm today Rescue Care paramedics were called to Chamberlin Road just after Quality Street for a collision between a bus and a truck.
On arrival paramedics found that a bus had rear ended a truck pushing the truck onto the side walk. A quick assessment revealed that the bus had only had a few passengers on it at the time of the collision. A total of seven patients were treated on the scene and transported by ambulance to various Durban hospital for the care that they required.
It is unclear what caused the collision however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
Traffic was severely affected on Chamberlin Road whilst emergency personal worked to clear the scene.
