Akasia crash leaves one injured
A man was injured during a three vehicle crash on the R80 in Heatherdale, Akasia this afternoon.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that three vehicles were involved in a crash. It appears that two vehicles were involved in a side-impact crash and a third vehicle rear-ended a vehicle from the primary crash. However, exact detail surrounding the cause of the crash and preceding events are unclear and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
Upon assessment of the occupants, paramedics found that a man sustained serious injuries during the crash.
The injured patient was treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Traffic was affected as a result of the crash.
