Krugersdorp shooting on Mark Crescent leaves man critical
A man is in a critical condition following a shooting incident on Mark Crescent in West Village, Krugersdorp in the early morning hours.
Netcare 911 paramedics received the call for assistance at 00h40 this morning and upon arrival found a man lying on the ground after sustaining a critical gunshot wound. Netcare 911 paramedics, provincial services and the fire department worked hand in hand to stabilise the man on scene in order to transport the man to hospital.
The man was rushed to a nearby hospital for stabilising while the Netcare1 helicopter was activated to airlift the critically injured man from the hospital to a specialised facility for the urgent medical treatment that he required.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the shooting and preceding events are unclear and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
