45-Year-old suspect nabbed with hi-tech skimming device
Yesterday at about 11:30, Border Police arrested a 45-year-old man after receiving a parcel containing a Hi-tech skimming device and its components; these devices included special micro components that could be used in more than 100 card skimming devices as well as a component to attach on an ATM.
The suspect was arrested at the airport; the parcel and both his cell-phones were seized as evidence.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s court to face contravention of the electronic, communication and transection Act charges.
