Pedestrian airlifted from Krugersdorp collision
A pedestrian involved in a collision had to be airlifted from Krugersdorp this afternoon.
Shortly after 4.30pm paramedics from ER24 arrived on Robert Broom Drive in Munsieville, Krugersdorp, where they found a man believed to be in his fifties with critical injuries.
It is understood from bystanders that the man was attempting to cross the road when a Toyota Landcruiser collided with him. Paramedics found the man lying on the side of the road. Paramedics initiated advanced life support treatment in order to stabilise the man.
ER24’s medical helicopter was called to the scene to airlift the critically injured pedestrian to Charlotte Maxeke hospital for further treatment. No one else was injured in the incident.
Local authorities attended the incident.
