Woman left injured after being hit by bakkie, Bloemfontein
A woman has been left in a serious condition this afternoon when she was hit by a bakkie at the Nelson Mandela Drive intersection, across from the Hospital in Bloemfontein.
ER24 paramedics rushed to the scene, and on arrival, found the woman lying in the middle of the road.
On assessment, paramedics found that the woman had sustained severe injuries to her legs as well as her head.
Treatment was provided to the patient as well as advanced life support. Once treated, the patient was transported to Pelonomi Hospital for further treatment.
The driver of the bakkie fortunately did not sustain any injuries.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
