Child seriously injured in pedestrian crash at Avoca Hills
A fourteen year old boy has been left with serious injuries when he was struck by a light motor vehicle this afternoon.
Crisis Medical paramedics arrived on scene in Effingham road, Avoca Hills, this afternoon to find the young boy lying in the roadway having suffered serious injuries. Advanced life support intervention was needed to stabilize him before he was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further care.
The exact facts pertaining to the incident are unclear however bystanders allege the boy was struck by a light motor vehicle whilst attempting to cross the roadway which then failed to stop.
The local authorities were on scene and will investigate further.
