Crash into horse near Stilfontein leaves three injured
Last night at 22h27 Netcare 911 paramedics received a call for a crash on the N12 by the Orkney Bridge in Stilontein. Reports from the scene indicate that a light motor vehicle collided with a horse and then rolled several times.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that three people had been injured, one critically. Medics stabilised the injured at the scene before they transported them to a nearby hospital for the care that they required.
Later during the night the critically injured patient was airlifted with the Netcare medical helicopter to a specialised hospital in Gauteng for specialised care.
