Collision on Grayston Drive over M1 Highway after car allegedly skipped red traffic light
Tonight just before 8pm EMER-G-MED’s M03 and A01 were dispatched to reports of a collision on Grayston Drive over the M1 Highway, in Wynberg.
On arrival paramedics found that a car and a taxi had collided head-on, allegedly after the car skipped a red traffic light.
Ten people sustained minor to moderate injuries. They were treated on-scene before being transported to various nearby hospitals for further care.
The driver of the car was arrested by JMPD for allegedly driving under the influence – a full investigation will be conducted.
