Jaws of life used to free injured crash victim in Bedfordview
This afternoon EMER-G-MED’s RV4, M02 and A09 responded to reports of a truck crash on the N3 North after Van Buuren, in Bedfordview.
It’s believed that driver lost control of his truck, collided with a car and then went into the back of another truck – leaving him seriously injured and entrapped within the wreckage.
Paramedics provided Advanced Life Support care while the fire department cut the man from his vehicle, using the “jaws of life”.
Once freed the patient was stabalised further before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
Local authorities were on-scene to investigate the events leading up to the collision.
