Pedestrian killed, Umgeni Road
A male pedestrian believed to be in his late thirties has been killed when a vehicle struck him whilst attempting to cross Umgeni Road at the busy intersection of Alpine Road this afternoon.
Crisis Medical paramedics were called to the scene shortly after 4:30PM to find the man lying in the road way having sustained fatal injuries.
Nothing could be done to assist him and sadly he was declared dead on arrival by emergency care practitioners.
The driver of the vehicle involved did not sustain any injury in the incident.
