Six people were injured this afternoon when a light motor vehicle rear-ended another on the N3 Highway near the M7 turnoff in Pinetown, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found that two vehicles had been involved in the collision.
One light motor vehicle lay on its roof in the centre medium while the second had pulled off the the right side of the road.
On assessment, paramedics dicovered that five occupants from the overturned vehicle had been injured in the collison. Two of the patients were children aged 12 and 13.
Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to St Marys Hospital for further treatment.
The driver of the second vehicle fortunately did not sustain any injuries.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
