Truck and cars collide injuring six, Pinetown
Six people were injured this morning after a light motor vehicle and bakkie collided with a truck on the Dinkleman Highway in New Germany, Pinetown.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found all three vehicles parked on the side of the road. A large group of community members had gathered around the scene.
On inspection, paramedics found that 5 occupants from the bakkie, including two children believed to be aged 4 and 15, and driver of the truck had all sustained minor injuries. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported on the scene.
Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported to various hospitals for further treatment.
It is believed that the light motor vehicle and bakkie collided with the truck after the driver attempted a u-turn in the road. The driver of the truck was also apparently assaulted by community members for apparently causing the collision.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
