Woman airlifted after hiking injury off Paarl Rock, Paarl
A woman in her 30s was airlifted off the Paarl Rock Mountain after she injured her leg while hiking this afternoon.
ER24 paramedics were called to the scene where the woman had apparently fallen.
Carrying all of their equipment, ER24 paramedics hiked up the mountain where they found the patient. On assessment, paramedics found that the woman had sustained a serious injury to her lower leg.
Paramedics treated the patient along with Skymed, who later airlifted the patient to Mediclinic Stellenbosch for forther treatment.
The patients husband and two children were returned safely to the bottom of the mountain.
