Bakkie and truck collide in South Deep
This afternoon EMER-G-MED’s RV5 and M08 attended to a serious crash on Heidelberg Road closest corner Houer in City Deep – south of Johannesburg.
On arrival paramedics found that a bakkie and a truck had been involved in a collision, leaving the driver of the bakkie with serious injuries – requiring Advanced Life Support care.
Once stabilised the patient was transported to a nearby hospital by another ambulance service with EMER-G-MED’s Advanced Life Support paramedic on-board.
The exact cause of the collision is unclear and will be investigated by local authorities.
