Taxi crashes into ditch injuring 12, Johannesburg
12 people were injured this morning after a taxi crashed into a ditch next to the R511, north of Johannesburg.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the taxi sitting in the ditch next to the side of the road.
Occupants from the taxi were found walking around on the scene.
On assessment, paramedics found that 12 people had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported on the scene.
Paramedics treated the patients and transported them to various hospitals in the area for further treatment.
It is believed that one of the tyres of the taxi burst, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
