Car crashes off bridge injuring two, Pinetown
A man and woman were injured this afternoon after two vehicles collided on the St Johns Avenue Bridge over the M13 in Pinetown, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene and found one light motor vehicle in the middle of the road while a second vehicle lay on its roof on the embankment below.
Paramedics assessed the scene and found that a woman, 4 months pregnant, had sustained moderate injuries while the male driver of the vehicle that crashed off the bridge fortunately, sustained only minor injuries.
Paramedics treated both patients but later transported only one patient through to hospital for further treatment. The male patient declined transportation to hospital.
Traffic was heavily affected in the area due to the collision.
The details surrounding the collision are subject to the investigation of local authorities.
