Four injured after freak collision, Bloemfontein
Three woman and a one-year-old baby were injured this morning after their vehicle crashed into a reservoir on a farm off the N6, roughly 20km from Bloemfontein.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the light motor vehicle some distance away from the road.
It is believed that the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the road and crash into the water reservoir on the farm.
On assessment, paramedics found two women seated in the vehicle while a third was found lying outside. A one-year-old baby was also found inside the vehicle.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that all four patients had sustained only minor injuries. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported on the scene.
The patients were treated for their injuries and thereafter transported to Pelonomi Hospital for further assessment.
The driver was assessed on scene and found to have escaped without injury.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
