Four injured in N12 vehicle rollover
Four people were injuredwhen the car they were traveling in overturned several times on the N12 approximately 10km outside of Potchefstroom.
Shortly before 4am this morning paramedics and fire fighters arrived on the scene where they found the vehicle lying on its roof in a nearby veld. All four of the occupants were found outside of the vehicle. It is understood that they were ejected from the vehicle when it overturned.
One person was found in a critical condition with multiple injuries ranging from possible chest injuries to fractures. The three other occupants sustained several bruises, abrasions and some fractures. The injured were transported to Potchefstroom Provincial Hospital for further care.
It is understood from the occupants that the driver apparently fell asleep and as they woke him up he got a freight and lost control over the vehicle.
Local authorities attended the scene.
