Man critical after shooting, Vanderbijlpark.
A man, believed to be in his 30s, was left critically injured this afternoon after an apparent shooting at a shop on EC Pienaar Street in Vanderbijlpark.
ER24 paramedics were alerted to the incident by local members of the CPF.
Upon arrival, paramedics found the man lying face down in the doorway of the shop.
On further assessment, paramedics found that the man had sustained a gunshot wound to his chest, leaving him in a critical condition.
Paramedics treated the patient and provided him with advanced life support interventions, in an attempt to stabilise his vital signs.
Once treated, the patient was transported to Sebokeng Provincial Hospital for urgent treatment.
It is believed that an unknown number of gunmen stormed into the shop. A scuffle apparently ensued, resulting in the shooting.
The incident was reported to the SAPS for further investigations.
