Man struck by vehicle while standing next to his bicycle
A thirty-five-year-old man has died after he was struck by a vehicle on the N17 in Springs direction Devon in Gauteng.
Reports from the scene indicate that the man was standing beside his stationery vehicle that was parked on the yellow at the time of the accident.
It is not yet clear what the man was doing standing next to his vehicle.
When Netcare911 paramedics arrived on scene, we found the man lying a few metres away from his vehicle.
Sadly, he had already died due to the extensive injuries he sustained.
The man was declared dead on scene by Netcare911 paramedics.
We also found that two people from the vehicle sustained minor injuries.
The two women refused hospital treatment.
The exact detail to the cause of the accident will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
This accident happened this morning at about 07h00.
