Saturday afternoon at approximately 4pm EMER-G-MED’s RV5, M04, M08 and A09 responded to reports of a single vehicle rollover on the N3 South.at the Rand Airport offramp, east of Johannesburg.
It’s alleged that the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll. One passenger sustained moderate injuries, while the other was ejected from the vehicle and was found to be in a critical condition, sustaining a serious head injury among other injuries.
Paramedics immediately began to stabilise the injured, providing Advanced Life Support care and placing the critically injured woman on Life Support.
Once stabilised the patients were rushed to a nearby specialist trauma hospital for further care.
Local authorities were on-scene to investigate.
