Three arrested for possession of illegal firearm after vehicle is pulled over in Ravensmead
On Thursday morning (2016-07-21) at about 02:00 members from Ravensmead SAPS, were busy with patrols when they saw a Blue Volkswagen Jetta driving down De La Rey Road, Ravensmead.
In the vehicle were three males, who appeared very suspicious.
They pulled the vehicle over and when they searched it they found a 7.65 Petro Barrette firearm with 5 x 7.65 rounds and 1 magazine.
The three suspects aged 23, 36 and 38 respectively were arrested for the possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition and will appear in the Bellville Magistrate Court tomorrow (2016-07-22) on the said charges.
