Biker seriously injured in Sundowner, Johannesburg
A 51-year-old man was left seriously injured this morning after he fell off his motorcycle at the corners of Northumberland and Sundowner in Sundowner, north of Johannesburg.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 08h14 and found the man lying in the middle of the road being treated by another service.
ER24 paramedics assessed the man and found that the patient had sustained injuries to his shoulder and one of his legs, leaving him in a serious condition.
The patient was stabilised on scene and provided with advanced life support intervention before he was transported by ER24 ambulance to a nearby private hospital.
It is understood that the driver lost control of his vehicle, causing him to fall off.
Local authorities will be conducting an investigation into the matter.
