Car and taxi collide injuring 8, Emmarentia.
Eight people have been injured after a light motor vehicle and taxi collide on Barry Hertzog Road in Emmarentia this morning.
ER24 paramedics immediately responded to the scene and arrived at 08h06.
Upon arrival, paramedics found both the taxi and light motor vehicle in the middle of the road. Both vehicles had sustained a large amount of damage in the collision.
Local authorities began to close off the road while paramedics assessed the patients on scene, finding eight while minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no series or fatal injuries were reported.
Paramedics on scene treated the patients and transported them to various provincial hospitals for further treatment.
The exact cause of the collision is subject to the investigation of local authorities.
