Children injured in morning crash, Pietermaritzburg
ER24 paramedics in Pietermaritzburg were kept busy this morning.
Four children were transported to hospital following a collision between a bakkie and an SUV.
A woman who was knocked over by a taxi was also taken to hospital.
Upon arrival at the collision involving the children, on Longmarket Street in Pietermaritzburg, paramedics found them seated on the side of the road.
Upon assessment it was found that they sustained minor injuries.
They were treated by paramedics. While paramedics were on their way to hospital, they came across a pedestrian who had been knocked over at Church and East Streets.
Upon assessment of the woman it was found that she sustained minor injuries.
She was treated and transported to hospital.
The exact cause of the incidents is unknown.
Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
