A JMPD officer hit by Taxi, Johannesburg
A JMPD officer has been injured this morning, after being hit by a taxi whilst patrolling the highway on his motorbike.
Just after 8am EMER-G-MED’s M07 and A03 were dispatched to the M1 North, N1 South split in the Buccleuch Interchange – north of Johannesburg.
It’s believed that a taxi cut across the highway to get into the emergency lane – colliding with the motorbike and pushing the officer off the bike and onto an embankment on the side of the highway.
The officer was fortunate to sustain only moderate injuries and was treated on the scene before being transported to Netcare Milpark Hospital for further care.
