Suspect arrested in possession of prohibited firearm and ammunition after police chase
Western Cape: A 31-year-old suspect will appear in the Mitchell’s Plain magistrates’ court on Wednesday, 30 November 2016 facing a charge of possession of prohibited firearm and ammunition.
According to information, on Sunday, 27 November 2016 at about 02:15, members attached to Mitchells Plain SAPS were busy with crime prevention patrols in Tafelberg street, Tafelsig, Mitchells Plain when they observed a male who threw away an object when he saw the police and started running.
Police gave chase and apprehend him.
