Man hit by train, left critical.
A man, believed to be in his late 20s, was left critically injured this afternoon after he was hit by a train in the Crammond area near Albert Falls in KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and we’re lead to where they found the patient.
Upon inspection, paramedics found HIM lying next to the tracks.
Paramedics assessed the man and found that the man had sustained serious injuries to both of his legs and was in a critical condition.
The man was immediately treated for his injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions.
Once treated, the man was transported to Greys Hospital for urgent treatment.
The locomotive driver later told authorities that the man had apparently been lying across the tracks before the incident.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
