Kroonstad Highway Patrol arrested three suspects in possession of stolen property
Free State: Members of Kroonstad Highway Patrol arrested three suspects for possession of suspected stolen property, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition as well as bribery.
The suspects who were driving on the N1, direction Gauteng, were stopped after members spotted that all three suspects were sitting in the front seat o the vehicle. During the search, it was discovered that the vehicle was loaded with various items. One of the men offered the officers a R2 000-00 bribe during the search.
Plasma TV’s, a revolver with ammunition, foreign currency, jewellery, cellphones, different registration number plates and other items were found in the vehicle. Further investigation revealed that items were stolen during a number of burglaries in Bayswater, Bloemfontein over the weekend. The suspects will appear in court soon.
