Uncertainty remains on opening of road between Danielskuil and Kuruman
Question:
We deliver newspapers countrywide. The road to Kuruman is quite important and now have to detour for 200km at our expense. Do you have any news about the development of repair or re-opening of this road? It also affects the safety of our contractors and subcontractors. I will appreciate your feedback.
Answer:
Kindly be informed that at this point in time we are not sure when the road between Danielskuil and Kuruman will be opened. The Geologists are still busy on site conducting tests and drilling holes on both sides of the road. The findings of their assessment/tests will determine the mitigating actions which the department will take.
We do understand that the extended detour road takes up more time and it is a longer route. We kindly request your patience as the department is working to towards a solution.
We will keep you informed regarding the way forward.
Thank you
