Police to the rescue of Norwegian cyclist with flat tyre
Eastern Cape: The Iron Man championships is once again taking place in Port Elizabeth this weekend. Athletes from around the globe have converged on our shores. Ensuring the safety and security of all our visitors is a priority for the SAPS in the Nelson Mandela Metro.
Police from SAPS Walmer and Humewood patrol the routes during practice times of the athletes today when members from SAPS Walmer and PE K9 unit assisted a cyclist from Norway with a flat tyre on his bicycle. The cyclist was taken to his guest house as he had no spare tyre. He was extremely grateful to the police for their friendly assistance.
Thumbs up to our police because actions such as this make us good ambassadors to the world. #ServingOurCommunities
