11 people were left injured this evening when a taxi collided on the M3 in Cliffdale, KwaZulu-Natal.
When ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene, they found the taxi in the centre medium while the light motor vehicle was found in the emergency lane.
Upon closer inspection, paramedics found several passengers from the taxi walking around the scene. The driver of the light motor vehicle, a woman, was found seated in her vehicle.

The woman was extricated from her vehicle, treated and provided with advanced life support interventions. The remaining patients were also treated by various services for their injuries.
Once the patients were treated, they were transported to various Provincial hospitals for further care.
It is believed that a total of 18 people had been in the taxi at the time of the collision. Several passengers fortunately escaped injury.
