Pedestrian left critical after collision, Du Toitskloof
A woman, believed to be in her 20s, was left critically injured yesterday afternoon when she was knocked over by a light motor vehicle on the N1 De Toiskloof in the Western Cape.
When ER24 paramedics, along with Metro Services, arrived on the scene, they found another private service already in attendance.
Paramedics assessed the woman and found that she had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.
The patient was immediately treated and provided with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the patient was airlifted by the ALS medical helicopter to Tygerberg Hospital for urgent treatment.
The driver of the vehicle fortunately escaped without injury.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
