Suspects arrested during roadblock on the N2 opposite Coega
Motherwell Cluster Stations yesterday conducted clean up operations and arrested two suspects.
During a roadblock held on the N2 opposite Coega, a 23 year old male was found in possession of seven(7) bags of dagga. He hitched a ride on the back of a bakkie coming from East Londen. Indications are that he planned to deliver the dagga at Bluewater Bay, Humansdorp and George. The dagga weighing 57 kilogram with an estimated street value of about R 17 500.00 was seized. He will be charged for dealing in dagga.
The second suspect, a 29 year old suspect was arrested during a raid for illegal firearms in the Kwazakele and Veeplaas area. He was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm and two rounds of unlicensed ammunition at his shop in Veeplaas. He will be charged for illegal possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
Both suspects will be appearing in the Motherwell and New Brighton Magistrates Courts on 28 July 2017. #CrimeMustFall #Back2Basics
