Air Traffic Service Bursary Programme
Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS) SOC Ltd offers bursaries to brilliant students – with no financial means to proceed to institutions of higher learning – to undergo Air Traffic Management training in order to become Air Traffic Control Officers. This is a very technical and challenging career, provided one meets the below-mentioned stringent requirements.
The programme affords successful candidates/bursars with an opportunity to study Air Traffic Management at the globally-recognized and technology-advanced ATNS Aviation Training Academy (ATA) in Bonaero Park, near OR Tambo International Airport, Kempton Park.
The application process includes ability assessments and a formal interview. The following requirement should be met: Matric certificate with a pass in the following subjects (Pure Maths (Level 4 / HG – D or SG C or above; English (Level 4 / HG – D or SG C or above); be a South African citizen with a valid Identity Document and medically fit.
Additionally and ideal candidate should have the following competencies: Good Communication Skills; Teamwork and Multi-tasking skills; Problem solving skills; Quick Decision making; Emotional Intelligence; High Self-esteem and confidence Level; Spatial reasoning ability and Analytical Skills.
