Two Injured In Collision in Tongaat, KwaZulu Natal
Two people were injured following a collision on the R102 near the King Shaka International Airport in Tongaat.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by passing motorist reporting a collision between a Nissan Hardbody bakkie and a MAN truck and trailer. Upon arrival two occupants of the bakkie were found to have been injured.
The driver of the bakkie was trapped in the vehicle and the jaws of life had to be used to free him from the wreck. Paramedics then stabilised the injured before transporting them to hospital. The driver of the truck was not injured.
Circumstance surrounding the collision is yet to be establised.
