STREETS AFFECTED BY WOMEN’S MARCH ON WEDNESDAY, 1 AUGUST 2018
Take note of a women’s march that will take place tomorrow, 1 August 2018.
The marchers will gather at the old Putco Depot from 09:00 and then move to the Union Buildings.
The march will take the following route: From the old Putco Depot, they will travel down Struben Street, turn right into Sophie de Bruyn Street, turn left into Francis Baard Street, and continue until turning left into Nelson Mandela Drive. They will then turn right into Madiba Street and proceed straight on until they reach the Union Buildings
The following streets will be affected:
• Johannes Ramokhoase Street
• Kgosi Mampuru Street
• Bosman Street
• Paul Kruger Street
• Lilian Ngoyi Street
• Sisulu Street
• Du Toit Street
• Pretorius Street
• Hamilton Street
• Steve Biko Road
• Leyds Street
The marchers are expected to disperse from the Union Buildings at 14:00.
Tshwane Metro Police officers will be deployed to monitor the march and all the affected streets.
Motorists are advised to avoid the affected streets and to use alternative routes such as the following:
• Es’kia Mphahlele Drive
• Dr WF Nkomo Street
• Nana Sita Street
• Visagie Street
