Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS) SOC Ltd has received a noteworthy Award, presented during the inaugural Transport Education Training Authority (TETA) Skill Summit, held a few days ago in Ekurhuleni, east of Johannesburg.
The Summit’s theme “Driving innovative and transformative skills development initiatives by bringing sustainable economic growth with global impact” is core to TETA’s Skills Development Strategy. The event recognized significant impact of skills development and learning within the South African Transport industry.
ATNS was applauded for initiating and successfully implementing a variety of tailored Learnership and Internship Programmes – over a sustained period. The Award criteria looked at, among others, models that companies employ to increase the absorption rate of students on these programmes without holistic dependence on the TETA grants.
“We thank TETA for inviting us. Being part of a collective that presented their current Learnership, Apprenticeship and Training Initiatives at this summit provided us with an opportunity to recognize the importance of strategic industry collaborations and partnerships” Interim CEO, Thomas Kgokolo.
