Streets closure for memorial service of the late Ike Maphoto
Members of the public are hereby notified of planned streets closure in the central business district (CBD) due to the memorial service of late ANC struggle veteran, Ntate Ike Maphoto.
The memorial service will be held at Jack Botes Hall and the following affected streets will be closed between 08h00 and 16h00 on Thursday, 18 July 2019:
• Church between Thabo Mbeki and Rabe;
• Bodenstein between Landros Mare and Paul Kruger;
• Paul Kruger between Rabe and Thabo Mbeki; and
• Rabe between Market and Paul Kruger.
Jack Botes Hall parking will also be closed from this evening. Regular updates in terms of streets closure for Sunday’s funeral service will be provided.
The municipality urges all motorists to exercise patience and to use alternative routes during the streets closure and to adhere to the traffic instructions given by the law enforcement officers.
The municipality apologises for any inconveniences caused.
