The Ncibidwana River Vehicle Bridge is located in the Bergvile area over the Ncibidwana River on District road D1240; under Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality. The bridge enables the crossing of the river during the rainy seasons. It also provides Abambo Tribal Authority communities with access to the Ncibidwana clinic, and the Thibani and Mkhize Primary Schools.
It is a 3 span reinforced concrete high-level bridge that is 34.2 metres long, with two lanes. Its base comprises of reinforced concrete base dowelled onto the bedrock to avoid the structure from being washed away during major floods. The carriageway consists of a reinforced concrete bridge deck slab with bollards on the side.
The bridge was successfully completed during the 2017/18 financial year at a total cost budget of R8.3 million and created 12 job opportunities.
