Main Road P373 is located between Jolwayo to Ntababomvu, in the uMzinyathi District. It falls under Umsinga Local Municipality and the Mchunu Traditional Council. It serves the Msinga community by providing access to Tugela Ferry. It also provides access to local schools including Mahlahlamela, Nomahaye, Dlabesuthe, Mathinta, Ngongolo and the Mhlangana Provincial Clinic.
The project entailed the upgrading of 22.20 kilometres to the blacktop. This road has two lanes and an overall surface width of seven metres. The terrain varies from rolling to mountainous.
Construction commenced in 2008 and as at the end of the 2014/15 financial year, 22.20 kilometres had been constructed as well as four minor structures at a total cost of R135.7 million. The project has been successfully completed with 382 job opportunities created with 30 942-person days.
