At least 8 children injured in collision between bakkies while heading to school, Lydenburg
At least eight school children have sustained moderate injuries on the R36 in Lydenburg in Mpumalanga.
This is after a bakkie they were travelling in to school, collided with another bakkie.
Netcare911 paramedics and other services were on scene and managed to stabilise the injured children.
Netcare911 transported eight of the children to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
The other injured children were transported by another medical service operator to various hospitals in the area.
The accident happened this morning around 07h40.
