Two pedestrians injured in separate incidents in Johannesburg
Two pedestrians have suffered injuries after they were hit by light motor vehicles in separate accidents in Johannesburg this morning.
In the first incident, a woman in her early twenties suffered serious injuries after she was struck by a vehicle on Ontedekkers road in Roodepoort, Gauteng.
Paramedics managed to stabilise her on scene before transporting her to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
In the second incident, a man believed to be in his early twenties was struck by a vehicle along Jacqueline Avenue and corner Padstow street in Alberton.
The man who sustained minor injuries was stabilised on scene and transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
The exact detail to the cause of both accidents will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
