Winklespruit R603 head-on crash leaves three injured
This morning Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a collision along the R603 in Winklespruit Kwazulu Natal. Reports from the scene indicate that a taxi and a car collided head-on just inland from the N2 bridge on the R603.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the taxi had veered off the roadway after impact, its wreckage coming to rest in the bush, the crumpled remains of the car and accident debris was found obstructing the roadway.
After medics examined the injured it was found that three people were injured, one with serious injuries while two others escaped with minor injuries. Medics treated the injured at the scene before transporting them to a hospital in Umlazi for the care that they required.
